Today we had some very special guests at Grappone Toyota.
For the Love of Dog ‘s Dale and Rottweiler Candy came to receive their $5,000 from the Grappone Cares September contest.
Candy was as mellow as can be. She greeted everyone with a smile and was on her best behavior. Grappone team members came over to congratulate For the Love of Dog and meet Candy.
After the check was presented Sue and Laura along with Pitbull Lola came strolling in with more energy than the energizer bunny (ok maybe not that energetic). Lola was excited to have taken a car ride and see all of the cars in the showroom. She even wanted to take a picture with the Pumpkin Prius (or maybe she wanted to ride in it).
For the Love of Dog put in all of the work and they are now reaping the $5,000 reward. Over the next few weeks Dale will be traveling south to pick up over 30 rescue dogs and bring them back to New Hampshire. This money will help make that trip a bit easier.
Congratulations and thank you for all that you do!
The last round of Grappone Cares for 2013 concluded yesterday, Sunday 10/6 at 5 p.m.
To say that this was a busy round would be an understatement. Each charity promoted their cause and although only one charity can win, now we are all educated about many more charities. We had a handful of bonus rounds to help increase votes and they were very popular.
Throughout the contest there were 3 charities that stayed strong and held the lead – A.C.T.S. , NHSPCA and For the Love of Dog.
We released information about current standings and even the amount of votes you had. We would love your feedback on how we handled this round compared to the other rounds.
You all stand for amazing causes and do such wonderful things to help make our state the best it can be. Thank you for all that you do!
Below we have provided the amount of votes each charity received and were they fell in the ranking.

Happy October! Everyone has been working so hard this past week and a half voting for their charity and spreading the word. For the extreme dedication and passion we have seen this round we are going to do something we haven’t done yet this year; we are going to give you the ranking of every charity in contest!
Don’t forget, a lot of these charities are fighting for the same cause. We know this money can help all of the charities but regardless of the outcome remember that the money will help.
We aren’t doing this to discourage any charity, in fact we want you to know if your hard work has paid off and if it hasn’t don’t give up yet. Continue promoting your cause and participate in the mini contests we are holding this week. If you are in the lead continue doing what you are already doing. Each and every charity does so much good and we want everyone to know what amazing charities and people exist in New Hampshire.

This week we will feature a different contest every day to help give charities in the Grappone Cares contest a chance to earn extra votes.
Each contest will take place on one of our Facebook pages.
On Tuesday 10/1 we will have a contest on Grappone Toyota’s Facebook: The two winners for this contest are Samantha Currier and Jessica Bryant, they can each give 25 votes to a charity of their choice!
On Wednesday 10/2 we will have a contest on Grappone Ford’s Facebook
On Thursday 10/3 we will have a contest on Grappone Honda’s Facebook
We will also host a RT to Win contest on Twitter so make sure you are following us to see the tweet!
On Friday 10/4 we will have a contest on Grappone Hyundai’s Facebook
If you answer the questions correctly by the deadline (which will be stated in the post) your name will be entered into a drawing. A random winner will be chosen and given the opportunity to donate extra votes to a charity of their choice in the Grappone Cares contest
Hint: If you like each of these pages you will be able to follow the contests and be one of the first to know about them.
We wish you all luck. And keep your eyes open for surprise contests throughout.
Sullivan County Humane Society was announced as the winner of the Grappone Cares June contest. They came in second place during the 1st round of Grappone Cares in May. There persistence in trying to obtain votes paid off, it paid $5,000 to be exact.
Sullivan County Humane Society is located in Claremont, NH and is a fairly new Feline Shelter. Grappone team members will be taking the hour drive down to Sullivan County to present them with their $5,000 on July 19th! We will get to tour the facility and see all of the cats and kittens that they help save and put into loving homes.
Visiting Sullivan County Humane Society was wonderful. We were able to see their facility and all of the cats and kittens that need a home. While staying at Sullivan County the felines are kept in very large clean cages with multiple layers, toys, and beds. The volunteers that make it all possible greeted us as we walked through the door with a big round of applause. Donating the money was an honor for us, it is the volunteers that deserve the round of applause. They donate their time and energy to helping the animals!
Nominations for Grappone Cares July will be accepted from July 16th – July 19th. All charities that were nominated in the first and second round will automatically be entered into the third round. Voting will take place July 23rd until August 2. If you know a great New Hampshire charity that deserves and needs $5,000 nominate them on our Facebook Page.
Watch our video of when we announced the winner:

Last year we gave away $20,000! Four charities won $5,000 over the course of four months. We are kicking off the first round now, we are accepting nominations until 4/30/2013 and then voting takes place from 5/2/2013 to 5/16/2013. Will your favorite charity win this year?
Last year our winners were:
June: Granite State Dog Recovery
July: Manchester Animal Shelter
August: Salem Animal Rescue League
September: Peace and Paws
Grappone Cares! What does Grappone care about? Everything! Our community, our neighbors, charities, non-profits.
We want to help out local charities by giving away $20,000 to the charities/non-profits of YOUR choice. If you head over to our Facebook page you can nominate a New Hampshire organization that meets the qualifications:
Charities must be IRS-recognized 501 (C) (3)s; charities may not be political or lobbying organizations; charities should not discriminate based on race, gender or creed; and charities may not serve their own memberships exclusively (such as fraternal groups). Charities must be located in New Hampshire. If you have won a Grappone Cares/Toyota Match Program contest then you are not eligible to win in 2013.
Grappone Cares will take place over 4 months and each month the charity with the most votes will win $5,000. Organizations that have won Grappone Cares/Toyota Match Program contests are not eligible.
The first round of nominations will be from 4/18/13 – 4/30/13 8 am EST. Voting will be 5/2/13-5/16/13 8 am EST. You can vote once a day (once per 24 hour period).
